Rubin Bashir, MD.

Dr. Bashir graduated with honors from Howard University. He received his Medical Doctorate from Georgetown University School of Medicine where he also graduated with honors. He finished a five-year orthopaedic surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh, then moved to San Francisco to complete a spinal surgery fellowship with the San Francisco Spine Institute/Spinecare Medical Group.

Dr. Bashir is trained in all aspects of operative and non-operative management of degenerative spinal disease, spinal stenosis, neck and back pain, and herniated disks. He has extensive training in minimally invasive and microscopic techniques, in addition to lateral access spine surgery, and disc replacement technology. Dr. Bashir has made many scientific presentations at orthopaedic meetings and was recently awarded "Best Poster" presentation at a cervical spine research meeting.

Dr. Bashir is a member of the American Medical Association, the J. Robert Gladden Society, and the Society of Lateral Access Surgery.
