Dr. James Fogarty

Dr. Fogarty graduated from Rice University in 1974 and received his medical degree from the University of Texas at Galveston in 1978. His graduate training consisted of one year of general surgery and four years of orthopedic surgery at St. Louis University Hospitals, and for three of those years, he served as an instructor.

Dr. Fogarty has been serving the Cy-Fair area since 1983, and has been Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery since 1985.

He practices general orthopedic surgery including sports medicine, diseases of bones and joints including arthritis, and fracture care, in patients of all ages. He uses the wealth of information he has gained from his years of experience, as well as new strategies learned in continuing education seminars, to tailor treatment plans to each of his patients.

His treatment strategies range from conservative treatments of medication, physical therapy, and steroid injections to innovative surgical techniques, from arthroscopy to joint replacement, whether it is total, partial, or minimally invasive.

If you’ve attended a Langham Creek High School football game, you may recognize him from the sidelines as the team physician. Dr. Fogarty works with athletes of all levels, from the weekend warriors to those at the professional level.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Texas Orthopedic Association, Texas Society of Sports Medicine, Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society.

Dr. Fogarty sees patients at North Cypress and Willowbrook offices.
