Dr. Ramona Mihu is a double board certified doctor in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Mihu was also certified as a clinical densitometrist and was made a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. In 2004, Dr. Mihu graduated in the top 5% of her class from one of the oldest Medical Schools in Romania. Dr. Mihu started a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency in Romania in 2005, until she came to the U.S. to do research in 2007.

Dr. Mihu did basic science research in New York in 2007, then became a medical resident in New York from 2008 until 2011 and completed her Rheumatology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where she graduated in 2013. She first began working in private practice, then joined the academic Rheumatology Department at Houston Methodist in 2016 before joining Advanced Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
Dr. Mihu treats a wide variety of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, lupus, vasculitis, inflammatory myopathy, sarcoidosis, etc.

In Dr. Mihu’s free time she enjoys being outdoors, fishing, painting, spending time with her 3 dogs and 8 cats, and she is also a motorsports enthusiast. Dr. Ramona Mihu has been awarded the “Super Doctor” award from Texas Monthly Magazine in 2019 and again in 2020.

Rabia Kamal, PA-C, MMS

Rabia is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with a comprehensive background in the Musculoskeletal system with a special interest in Rheumatology. She attended the University of Houston for her Bachelors. She obtained her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University, Naples, FL in 2008. She

She enjoys working with Dr. Ramona Mihu to take care of our Rheumatology patients as a team. Rabia is passionate about educating patients and building rapport with them. has previous experience of working in Rheumatology before joining the Rheumatology department at Advanced Orthopedic and Sports Medicine.

In her free time, she likes fine arts, crafts, biking, and spending time with her family. She is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi languages.
