Gina Hisky, PT, DPT joined Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in October of 2021. She was born and raised in Granite, MD. She attended Towson University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She then went on to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland Baltimore. During her clinical rotations she developed a passion for working with an orthopedic/sports-based population completing clinicals in outpatient clinics in a D-1 training facility in Maryland.
Upon completion of her Doctorate, she underwent a one-year Orthopedic residency with John’s Hopkins University, to advance her manual and clinical skills as well as working as a part time teaching assistant for George Washington University with the Physical Therapy Students.
Her main objective is to efficiently decipher pain-related behaviors by a multifactorial approach evaluating movement patterns, exercise testing, and up to date research, to cultivate an in-depth plan of care. Her treatment approach utilizes manual therapy, exercise prescription, and evidence-based modality usage such as BFR and IASTM. In her spare time, Gina enjoys running, cycling, HIIT classes, playing with her kitten Gus, and exploring Houston with her friends and family!
